Here is Vincent Lapierre's opinion about the article he chose to talk about in class: from the International Herald Tribune, called "Plan to test DNA of some immigrants divides France":"The idea of testing people to prove their right to enter France, sometimes to find a job or just to join family is for me just undemocratic. France is a country where anybody could live and try his chance like every "natural" French. Of course, this way of thinking is perhaps too easy and impossible but I still think that we don't want to install this kind of discrimination in our country. Maybe I'm wrong which wouldn't surprise me because our government succeeded in the creation of the minister of immigration and national identity…"
Vincent is expecting your comments.

To my mind, although French government needs to control immigration on his territory, it seems to me that using DNA tests to do it is not a good idea.
Indeed, DNA tests have already a particular use, this one having nothing in common with immigration.
I think so that the government would better try to control immigration by using laws than subjecting new immigrant people to DNA tests.
Moreover, this decision could being seen like something which goes against democratic values, although France is known as a republican country.
Nevertheless, French government is right to wish to control immigration inside of his boarders, but I consider that using DNA tests was not the best thing to done.
In my opinion, France needs a mean to control immigration. This DNA test is maybe the first act of French government in order to control immigration.
However, I think this law is especially a solution for an immigrant who lives in France to unite his family. I don't know the proceeding that an immigrant have to take in order to join family members already living in France but a DNA test will be easier.
In my view,DNA tests is not the solution to control immigration. It's against democratic values. In the UK, DNA is not a law.I am sure there are other things to do.
Although I know that we have to watch people who enter and leave the country, people who want to come and integrate should have a chance.Moroever, you don't need to speak the language fluently when you come in a new country because it's there where you can learn the most.
As far I am concerned, i would say that the melt of genetic testing and immigration seems to be totally unapropriate.
There are lots of cases which show it clearly: for example, adoptive or illegitimate children and recomposed family. We can't imagine the damage that could create.
I think France really need to control immigration because our system doesn't allowed to receive all the immigrants any more, but I'm sure there are other softer solutions
So, I hope our Government will try to find them.
